In the flesh, you rather suspect that he has developed a subtle way of not being seen. ![]() In fact, he has precisely the type of face that bears being photographed in pictures, it is somehow easier to focus on him, better to inspect the kindly set of his features and the grey-green of his eyes. "I have that sort of face that doesn't come out well in photographs," Pullman tells him as the camera snaps away. The photographer is already in the living room. Behind him stands a dog on wheels and, further back, two real pugs, bleating, just a little, at this morning's commotion.
